Profile

Childhood attendances at Farnham Saturday Art School and allusions to artistic ability were forgotten for many years until rekindled by a pre-degree foundation course in Art and Design. This and further influence from professional artists Frankie Cummins and Jean Haines have culminated in a growing confidence and exploration into her own style. Now Lindsay works mostly in pure watercolour, concentrating on transparency, chiaroscuro and mastering techniques to enhance this exciting medium.

Her work is exhibited in public exhibitions annually in Surrey, Hampshire and London. Her paintings are a mix of commissioned work, especially buildings, and many differing subjects which catch her imagination and inspire her to paint for pure pleasure

Lindsay is an exhibiting member of Farnham Art Society and a member of the SAA
